Summer Internship Program
Applicants must be Christians who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. They must have previous short-term missions experience with 6:8 Ministries. They must also be currently serving within their community, church, or school. Applicants will need to obtain three letters of recommendation, must commit to 6-12 weeks between May 25- August 25, and will be required to memorize Philippians 2:1-11.
We are looking for individuals who want to serve like Jesus. We practice having Christ-like attitudes such as taught in Philippians 2:1-11. Interns will be integral members of the 6:8 staff family as we host short-term mission groups. Responsibilities include working in Alajuelita or Horquetas, traveling on public transportation, assisting on construction projects, helping to guide and assist groups on prayer walks, working, community centers and churches, leading worship, cooking for teams, spending down time with teams, submitting to leadership and attending staff meetings. Our goal is to use each intern according to the needs within the ministries. This may include tasks not desired by the interns but necessary to accomplish the God-given vision of 6:8 Ministries.
