Living Waters Children's RanchThe vision for the Living Waters Children’s Ranch is to create a safe, gospel centered-home for disadvantaged children.
The mission is to raise children in a godly home until they are adults and prepare them to make gospel impact in the world. The ranch is located on 17 acres of beautiful farmland on the outskirts of a rain forest. Once completed, there will be 10 “family homes”, a chapel and a working farm. Each “family house” will have two loving parents and will have the capacity for up to eight children. The ranch will also function as a working farm in order to supplement the operating expenses. Each family will serve in various cottage industries to teach a good work ethic and allow the children to learn some practical skills. The children will attend the local schools, but will also have the opportunity to have music and art lessons, computer labs, and such. The ranch also serve as a beacon of hope to the surrounding community. Our current outreach ministry is called El Pozo. The farming community of Horquetas has many of the same problems and issues that are present in Alajuelita, where 6:8 Ministries has been serving since 2006. This will be a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to our neighbors as we raise these kids to be godly young adults. We currently have our first family home built. The first family has completed all the steps necessary to be adoptive parents. They are currently waiting for placement. We are trying to raise $70,000 to start the next family home. We have the next family that is planning to move down at the beginning of 2020. |
