Child Sponsorship Program
The 6:8 Ministries Child Sponsorship Program is an educational initiative designed to help ensure children of low income families are given the opportunity to receive a quality education and a positive school experience.
The public school system in Costa Rica is free to all children, however each child is required to wear a specific uniform, and provide their own text books and school supplies. These items can be expensive and create a financial hardship on local families. Therefore, we are working toward finding a sponsor for every child in the program Sponsors will agree to help these children through their financial giving, love, encouragement and prayers.
Each sponsored child will receive everything necessary to attend and thrive in the local school system. This includes two complete school uniforms, a backpack full of required supplies, all required textbooks, eye exams and eyeglasses if needed. As a sponsor you will receive photos of your child, academic progress of your sponsored child, a handwritten thank you note and opportunities to visit your sponsored child.

Ashly lives in Alajuelita with her parents and has been serving with 6:8 Ministries since 2017. She has been a part of the 6:8 family since it started in 2006. Early on she was one of the children living in Alajuelita and was blessed through the ministry programs and the visiting mission teams. As a small child she prayed that some day God would allow her to be a missionary, and that she would be able to bless children in the same way the 6:8 Ministries missionaries blessed her. God was faithful and has answered her prayers!
Now Ashly is serving with 6:8 Ministries as the Children's Ministry Director. She oversees The Child Sponsorship Program, The El Pozo Children's Ministry, and also helps lead the Children's Feeding Centers.
